Subject: Hey, njpg
Hate to tell you, but the Spankers are no longer a band. They had their bon voyage tour last winter. :(

Last I saw them was much more recent than this, but same feel. Hope they come back to Portland, OR soon!

Recording's great too. The fact that I had to relabel the artist's name on every single track is not.

Thanx Dean. Best recording I have heard from this band. A must get if you have no sense of decency. Disc 2 Track 3 is: The Minor Waltz. I am playing Smoking Resin & Tight Like That on my radio show tomorrow night. Peace

...The recording is GREAT! Thanks Dean for taping, and thanks ScottT for pointing me this way - just a few songs into my introduction to the Spankers (do they ever go by that fine acronym?), and I'm already set to check them out Thursday at Knuckleheads in KC.

Thanks again!

Subject: Why only 3 stars Dean?
Your recording sounds fantastic - as they usually do from the Cedar. The bands sound is crispy, and you can hear the audience but only in the right places (singalongs, bantering with the artists). The band puts on a spirited performance and are funny as hell! Their song material is not for all ages, but the Spankers in general and this recording in particular are well worth checking out.
